This tour is an intriguing mix involving a lot of travelling but providing a unique opportunity to see many different facets of India's culture, history and wildlife. The first leg involves a train journey and then a spectacular drive through the Himalayan foothills to Shimla, the "queen" of hill stations and the summer capital of the British Raj. There is so much to see and do around Shimla that 2 full days are spent here exploring the town and surrounding area. After time exploring Chail, a peaceful haven in the hills, it is time to take the fascinating drive to Nainital, a picturesque resort set around a beautiful lake.
From there the tour goes on to the more remote Sattal (seven lakes) for fantastic birdwatching opportunities and peaceful walks through the spectacular scenery. Then the grand finale of a visit to Corbett National Park, the famous tiger reserve where 5 jeep safaris are included to give you the chance to see all of the fantastic wildlife the Park supports.
